What is an EA Anyway?

Enrolled agents (EAs) are America’s Tax Experts. EAs are the only federally licensed tax preparers who also have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS. (Lawyers and CPAs are licensed by states, whereas enrolled agents can practice in all 50 states).

Allan Ehrich, EA

Allan Ehrich began his career as an accountant at Westinghouse in 1974. After working his way up the corporate ladder, he formed his own accounting firm in 1983. He’s been providing clients with exceptional, personalized service ever since – a trait he’s also proud to see in his son and business partner. Allan treats every client with respect and integrity.

Any firm would admire Allan’s client roster over the years, as well as his drive to sharpen his professional skill sets for the benefit of his clients.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business from Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, NC. He continued his academic pursuits and earned his Master’s degree in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ.

Outside of tax season, Allan enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time with his family. He currently is a board member of the Greater Morristown YMCA and a Commissioner of Fire District #2 in Hanover, NJ.

Keith Ehrich, EA

Keith is dedicated to helping clients make intelligent financial decisions and ethically minimizing tax liability. His patience and determination ensure that every client is treated with high regard. Prior to joining forces with his father, Keith honed his bookkeeping and tax preparation skills for a variety of clients.

As an Enrolled Agent, Keith is a federally-authorized tax practitioner empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service for audits, collections, and appeals.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Information Systems from Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA. He has extensive experience with QuickBooks®, Sage Timberline Office™, and ProSeries® Tax software.

In his spare time, Keith enjoys attending New York Yankees games, and spending time with his family. He’s also active in the Penn State Alumni Association and a Member of CIANJ.
